Therapy

Supporting your recovery at home

Individuals recovering from surgery and illness oftentimes require daily therapy as part of their convalescence at home. New Century’s rehabilitation services include physical, occupational and speech therapies – all with the common objectives of nurturing independence and improving quality of life.

Our physical therapists work with our clients to improve mobility, strength, endurance, balance and coordination. Their realm of expertise encompasses range of motion, walking, fall prevention, prosthetics, orthotics, transfers and bed mobility.

Our occupational therapists address fine motor skills used in daily tasks such as grooming, toileting, and home chores. They utilize a range of therapeutic exercises to help our clients overcome their limitations and strengthen the skills needed for day to day living.

Our speech language pathologists focus on improving communication skills, as well as chewing and swallowing abilities, areas that are frequently affected due to a stroke, injury or dementia. They greatly enhance our clients’ wellbeing by imparting a variety of language and speech exercises and eating-related techniques.
